On this occasion we ‘sit at the table’ to talk about one of the most coveted and appreciated seafood in the kitchen: lobsters.
Due to their wide possibilities in the kitchen, these crustaceans have become a hallmark of famous restaurants, highly appreciated for their menu. Not to mention their wide range of possibilities when it comes to preparing Christmas recipesWho can resist an exquisite dish of rice with lobster?
Two of the most widely consumed species of this shellfish, the largest that inhabits the waters of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, are the American lobster (also called the Canadian lobster), which is more common, and the European lobster, which is medium-sized and darker in color and of which not too many pieces are usually caught.
It is very easy to tell the difference between lobsters: their large claws and their hard shell, in which the seven rings that make up their body and their final fan-shaped tail can be distinguished, describe them. One of the peculiarities of the lobster is its exquisite meat, with a different flavor in each of its parts. The meat of the legs and claws is usually very tender and juicy, with an intense flavor. That of the shell, usually has a smoother and softer texture, as well as shiny when the shell is removed. But undoubtedly one of the characteristics that make lobster unique is the exquisite aroma it gives off when the shell is removed, regardless of how it has been cooked.
When buying frozen lobster you can choose cooked or raw. At Mariscos Apolo we have both varieties to adapt as much as possible to the needs of the final consumer, who can either choose to defrost and serve directly to enjoy its exquisite flavor, or can cook them to taste.
We have, for the same reason, two different formats:
- Delfincooked frozen lobster in boxes of approximately 350 grams. Each specimen is packed in its own case.
- Frozen raw lobster in 5 kg nets (each specimen weighs between 400 and 500 grams).
This seafood, as we have already detailed on occasion, is prepared in our facilities using innovative techniques in the freezing industry with rigorous subsequent maintenance controls that allow us to maintain properties and flavor as if they were freshly caught pieces.
