Yesterday, September 15 was held at the Teatro Imperial de Loja the awards ceremony for the best of the region of Loja, awarded by the newspaper Ideal.
These awards are an initiative organized by Ideal to distinguish professionals, artists, companies and organizations in the region in recognition of the work they do and the role they play in society.
‘The best’, which have the close collaboration of the City Council of Loja, are this 2016 the Cooperative ‘Los Gallombares’ in the economic-business modality, the group ‘Lori Meyers’ in the cultural category, the Loja FS in the sports and the Peña Dinámico Aliatar in the social modality. Completing the group of winners, the recognition of the ‘best person’, which in this case has gone to Ana Avila.
From Congelados Apolo we want to congratulate all the winners, but especially our founder, Ana Ávila, for her recognition as the “best person”. A recognition that only reminds us of all that the founder of our great family business has done for our town, Loja.
The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Ana Ávila, “for her constant help to others, her participation in social activities -such as the Spanish Association against Cancer or the Blood Donors Association-“. Avila is, in addition to being a self-taught artist, the founder, together with her husband -now deceased- of one of the most important Andalusian companies, Congelados Apolo.
