Mariscos Apolo visits the Conxemar Fair 2019 one more year, and it is already 6 consecutive years that we have been attending this important event. You can find us from 1 to 3 October at the Instituto Ferial de Vigo (IFEVI), in Avenida do Aeroporto, 772, in front of Vigo Airport.
Europe eats frozen food
The relationship of Spain (especially Galicia) with fish and seafood is very important. Our 3 seas (Cantabrian Sea, Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea) have always given us an enormous diversity and quality of seafood. However, since the discovery of America, Galician and Andalusian ports were filled with products brought from the new continent. These products, thanks to the advantages of freezing, can be today also the fish brought from all over the world. Conxemar serves us as a showcase to make our products known as well as we can see what are the best products found in other areas of exploitation.
In October, Vigo becomes the European capital of frozen fish and seafood and the 245 companies that take part in Conxemar are delighted to do so.
Apolo Seafood Food Truck Stand
One more year we have trusted Taller 32 for the design and development of our stand at Conxemar. But in addition, this year we have gone further with the adaptation of an old truck that we will use from now on in different events.
Our proposal at Conxemar
In Mariscos Apolo we are proud of all our history. Our evolution, from almost 60 years ago, when the company was born, until today, has made our products reach further and further. Today we are one of the main distributors of frozen products in Andalusia and our market share in the rest of Spain is increasing.
We chose one of our characteristic red trucks, which we use in the distribution of our products, as our stand at Conxemar.
Spain thrives on the frozen sector
In Spain there are currently some 19 million employees. These employees are divided into a myriad of sectors and, of these, one of the most important is the frozen fish and seafood sector. The importance that the fishing sector once had is now being modernized and updated. Today, the frozen sector has an annual turnover of 8 billion euros.
Thus, construction, education and, above all, catering, are increasingly joined by our sector, which in addition to offering an important service to the world of food, creates a large number of jobs.
