Congelados Apolo continues with its growth plan

More than 90,000 m2 for the expansion of the new Congelados Apolo facilities in Loja.

After closing the year 2015 surpassing our turnover, employees and sales records, we want to share with all of you the new project that we are going to carry out in our town and that we hope to finish as soon as possible.

In 2008 we opened the new facilities in which we are currently located, and only 7 years later, we have outgrown them and we need to expand the space of our facilities.

The project is already underway and we estimate that in nine or ten months we will complete the first phase of the project, which will consist of the construction of a new building with cold storage chambers. The idea is to open as soon as possible, since this Christmas we have had to stop serving new customers due to an excess of orders and to be able to attend to our regular customers.

For the acquisition of the new facilities we had two main requirements that we have managed to meet:

1. Congelados Apolo was born in Loja and is part of the life of our neighbors lojeños with numerous workers lojeños, so it is essential that the new facilities continue to be in our town.
2. And on the other hand, the new land should be accessible, with good communications and close to the current facilities.

The chosen area is located in the Polígono Manzanil II, in an area that is currently undeveloped, but with quick access to the highway and with many building possibilities:

This new project will go hand in hand with a restructuring of the current facilities that has already begun.

Congelados Apolo’s objective with the new expansion is to cover new customers in the future, and to carry out the five-year strategic plan to double the current turnover during this period.

In total, approximately eight million euros will be invested in the development of the land and the construction of the new facilities.
