February 24th. A date that marks a new event in history. Ukraine awoke to the sound of shelling by the Russian army, initiating a period in which war, death and neglect are taking center stage and have not ceased to multiply. This situation has brought with it many tragic consequences for the whole world that cry out for our help to Ukraine.
Our responsibility towards Ukraine
Faced with this position, we cannot forget all those innocent Ukrainian victims who are living this war and daily struggle for their survival. That is why in Apollo Seafood we have committed ourselves to help the humanitarian work communicating all the actions carried out to provide the maximum of this aid to Ukraine.
History
More than 15 years ago we met Marina, a Ukrainian who came to Loja fleeing from her country. Here we welcomed her as one of the family. She worked as a cleaner and caregiver for our elderly people, as well as in our company. An impeccable worker and a perfectionist, when she retired she went back to her country to be with her family. Her story, part of ours, moved us and our way of thanking her for her time, effort, dedication and courage to go on in spite of all the circumstances is to help them economically in these difficult times.
From Mariscos Apolo, both workers and the company, we have made a collection of more than 3000€ to help people like Marina, so that their day to day life is a little less difficult.
