Apolo strengthens its product catalog at Conxemar

For the eighth consecutive year, we have attended the biggest European event in the sector, the Conxemar 2016 fair.

We were the first to launch ourselves into the commercialization of frozen products in the province of Granada -and almost all of Andalusia- back in 1963. Today, forty years later, in Mariscos Apolo we can boast of going through one of our best moments of development and expansion. Proof of this is the recent participation of our company in the eighteenth edition of the fair Conxemar 2016, the international meeting of frozen seafood products, held in Vigo from 4 to 6 October.

In these days we have been able to confirm our good position in the frozen seafood sector. In Mariscos Apolo we have managed to increase sales by up to 40% in the last two years. At present, we have 4 million kilograms of products, a staff of 130 employees and a fleet of 25 vehicles for the delivery and transport of products reaching not only Spain, but also Portugal and Italy.

For Mariscos Apolo, attending the Conxemar 2016 fair means opening new business opportunities, especially for the upcoming Christmas season. And is that, this international forum, has managed to bring together in just three days more than 30,000 visitors from 106 countries such as Portugal, Italy, France, Holland or Greece and businessmen from over 150 countries, exceeding the figure of attendance and participation of the last edition by 11%. Therefore, the Conxemar 2016 fair has been an unparalleled challenge to share experiences and acquire new ideas in terms of packaging design, labeling or new machinery for the frozen sector.

And, is that, in Mariscos y Congelados Apolo we are going through a very good state of health.

In our facilities we have a seafood cooker that allows us to prepare up to 4,000 kilos of product per day. Likewise, we have an exclusive octopus cooker that places us at the forefront in the commercialization of this product.

In order to meet the growing market demand and achieve the objective of doubling the current turnover in a period of five years, we have started to develop one of our most ambitious projects. An expansion operation that will allow Mariscos Apolo to work with 13,000 more square meters of facilities to provide greater flexibility to the production and storage system.
