Apolo joins the Vuelta Ciclista a España this 2015 with Carrefour. The company from Granada, Andalusian leader in the frozen food sector, will be part of the activities organized by the supermarket chain as a sponsor of the sporting event.

Cycling, customers and renowned regional and local brands that, like Apolo, are distributed in the supermarkets of the chain, will join the exciting and familiar days that will be experienced in different towns and provinces through which the Vuelta passes. Thus, coinciding with the race -although not necessarily with the stage-, the public will have the opportunity to learn more about the companies that manufacture their reference products in the shopping basket.

With this in mind, the company from Granada, specialized in the commercialization of fish and seafood from the best fishing grounds in the world, will have a stand in the Carrefour supermarkets of Estepona, Mijas, Torremolinos, Los Patios (Málaga) and Armilla (Granada). For the occasion, Apolo will also launch a promotional campaign with a clear nod to the summer: for the purchase of three Apolo products in the Carrefour supermarkets of these municipalities will give away a red beach towel, color that identifies the corporate image of the brand, but also the tone of the jersey that will wear the runner who occupies the first place in the overall standings, as well as the overall winner.stand-apolo-carrefour

Since Christmas 2013/2014 Apolo brand products have been part of the Frozen section of Carrefour Spain thanks to the agreement closed between both companies. As is already known, one of the main strengths of the French firm, leader in distribution in Europe and second group worldwide, focuses on its special care for the food products it offers. The company also stands out for its firm commitment to regional companies and local SMEs. In fact, the company markets more than 3,500 products from 1,340 Andalusian companies. As part of this philosophy, it has renewed its sponsorship of the Vuelta Ciclista a España, an agreement that allows it to “connect with the localities through which the race takes place, interacting directly with the public of each of the 21 stages, within a unique cycling event that enhances the creativity of the brands,” says the Marketing Director of Carrefour Spain, Miguel Angel Conesa.

In 2014 around 1,000 local suppliers and 4,000 employees joined the activities parallel to the sporting event through Carrefour.
