Part of the secret of its success is due to its innovative and modern facilities, which were expanded in 2008 to more than 5,000 meters to increase the production of frozen products, mainly fish and seafood. The company, based in Loja, uses state-of-the-art technology in its factory to preserve the properties and quality of the food. Its objective is none other than to maintain the original texture, flavor and nutrients.

To this end, strict cold chain controls are maintained, a priority aspect in food safety. But special care is also taken in the processing and packaging of the raw material, which the company imports from the best fishing grounds in the world. The production hall and factory, with 2,000 square meters, combines the latest advances in the freezing industry with a large refrigeration capacity to preserve the cold chain while preserving the quality of the food. At its facilities, the product is prepared, cut and packaged and then transferred to the Apolo refrigerated warehouse, with capacity for more than 4,000 pallets and rigorous control systems that maintain the product between -20º and -22º.

The refrigerated chambers are also equipped with mobile base systems that make it possible to locate any reference immediately.

But, without a doubt, one of the keys to Congelados Apolo’s success is its special cooker for seafood, one of the best in Spain. It has the capacity to process 1,500 tons, achieving the optimum texture so that the product has the best possible flavor. Apolo’s facilities process and pack around 800 tons of prawns a year.

In addition to this special cooker, there is another exclusive cooker for octopus, designed to suit the special characteristics of its meat, which clearly differentiates the company in the commercialization of this product.
